Sansui AU-20000, PROFESSIONAL SERIES, 3 Days ONLY Picture(s) and Description:
This is a Vintage Sansui AU-20000 Professional Series Integrated Amplifier. The best of the best. Sansui's Flagship Integrated Amplifier. FREE FedEx overnight shipping to anywhere in the USA! Absolutely stunning sound. This Integrated Amplifier is Sansui's "Deluxe, no compromise combination of the BA-3000 and the CA-3000 in a one-unit marvel of musical versatility" GREAT condition. Everything works. All lights, switches and knobs are original and functional. The faceplate is undamaged, with all printing intact. The back panel has all original sockets, with no bending or damage to the socket boards. Both channels work, inputs work, outputs work, VU Meters light up and move. All knobs and speaker connectors are intact and not broken or bent. Nothing is missing, all is original on it. I just purchased it from the ORIGINAL owner's widow, and given it a basic once-over. The only issue I could find/hear is that the "B" speakers had some of that scratchy sound when turning the knobs. I did not open it up or attempt to clean anything. (I've hear some DeoxIT will fix that issue. I'm not touching it.) There are some scratches on the left side panel, only superficial, no dents. Otherwise, the deep burgundy finish is like a mirror, and the black schematic panel on top is gorgeously nerdy. It has a service sticker from a New England sound shop from 1983. In some Sansui brochures, it's listed as "Definition Series," and in others "Professional Series." No promises on exactly what does and doesn't work on it, as I don't have any testing devices and can't check calibration/specs. It was in a cool, dry attic for the last 20 years. If something doesn't work on it, you could send it to the high-end audio shop here on eBay for a complete tune-up, they charge $395. (The seller is service55, they have great reviews.) This unit is sold as is. Check my feedback, I only buy/sell the best. Here's what one Sansui Expert says about this model: "I own three AU-20000s. My personal opinion is that it is a HELLUVA DEAL. You get all the great preamp function of Sansui's best preamp, and a hefty 170 w/c amplifier. My AU-20000 that is in daily use regularly smacks down on much more powerful amplifiers. I have compared it to many amps rated at 250 w/c or more and it just plain sounds better. Especially when driven into clipping. As soon as the other big amps clip, they sound like welders. The AU-20000 just jams right on thru it. The meters are useless for detecting clipping. You can only use your ears." I will ship this to anywhere in the USA via Overnight FedEx. No international shipping. If you want to bid on this and you live outside the USA, email me. I will ship it to a friend of yours in the USA, and they can ship it to you.
